About

Hi! I am Renee Kusilek.   I grew up in Eastern WI near Fond du Lac, on the family farm.  I moved across the state to finish my bachelors degree in horticulture and landscape design, met my husband and here I stayed! I am a Wisconsin girl through and through, but I love traveling.    Though I loved the outdoors and growing, the plants don’t have good enough stories to tell.  Long story short, I needed creativity in my life.  I love taking photos and meeting new people to tell their stories.  Everyday is precious and should be captured.  Oddly, I dislike having my own photo taken.  Knowing how difficult it can be to be the subject of a camera, I strive to do my best to make this a fun and memorable experience.  

I currently live in River Falls, WI with my husband BJ, our son Gus and our beagle, Pat the Pooch.  Loves include Mac & Cheese, the great outdoors, good (sometimes bad) whiskey, sunglasses and projects.  I’m currently working on my studio and landscaping our house.  

Weddings, Children and Seniors are my specialty.  I love finding their smile, both inside and out.  Everyone is beautiful!  I truly feel honored to see my work hanging in your home.  Prints are important, because they alone will stand the test of time.

The RK Experience includes meeting and talking before your session to go through the details of your shoot, making sure that you get exactly what you need (plus more).  The day of your shoot is going to be FUN!  Two weeks after your session, you are invited to a special viewing party at the studio on a 9′ screen.  There you can choose your art and be able to see examples of wall hangings.
